For as long as I can remember I have never had that ONE thing I was passionate about. Sure I loved to do a lot of different things, but there was never one thing that I would always turn back to. This has always made me somewhat envious of those who always knew what they wanted to be, who always had that answer of what they wanted to be when they grew up.

Over time, it became more frustrating for me to be ‘stuck’ in retail jobs because I was continually uncertain on what I should do as a career. Luckily I started going back to school (and only have 3 terms to finish once the babies are a little bit older) but by going to school it also made me realize that retail had honed in on a skill that I do have.

It showcased my skills with people and my ability to read and anticipate situations (and de-escalate them if need be).

That may be one of the reasons I started a blog without the actual intention of knowing what I wanted to do. I like to help people. Although frustrating at times, having people skills and knowing how to communicate is such a blessing in my personal life.

As my blog, website, and brand continue to develop my greatest wish/hope/dream (whatever you want to call it) is to reach people and help them through life.

The only thing holding you back from doing the things you want to do or being the person you want to be, is you. Once you have a paradigm shift you can look at where you’re at and what skills you’ve picked up along the way and change the course of where you are headed.

Granted, I don’t know everything about people and there are certain things I could obviously do and be better at, but everyone has to start somewhere.

Let me know what’s something you’d like to be better at. How are you going to get better at it? What’s it going to take to get you there? Who do you need to access in order to refine your skills?
